The Stanford Cardinal had a decided proximity advantage when it came to who the Holiday Bowl would select for their Dec. 27 game. Just 7.5 hours of driving, without having to pitch out for massively expensive holiday time plane tickets, would’ve made things easier to sell tickets, right?
Wrong. Oh so very, very wrong.
CAF members bought all 7,000 @HolidayBowlGame tickets! Lucky for you we have 1,000 extra!! Get yours now: https://t.co/gxkde0moBQ #GoCougs pic.twitter.com/KeQRkSYeBx

To be clear: this was before tickets to the game are even on sale to non-Cougar Athletic Fund members i.e. a majority of WSU fans. So not only did the school sell out their initial allotment in about 48 hours, they needed 1,000 more ... a figure they’ll likely run through in no time.
As the tweet says, the general public can now buy tickets for the game and those will run you either $90 or $95 depending on where you’d like to sit. Regardless, it sounds like you’ll have plenty of WSU fan company when you’re eating fish tacos for each and every meal (I’m assuming, it’s what I’d do).
Kickoff for the Holiday Bowl against the Minnesota Golden Gophers is scheduled for Dec. 27 at 4:00 p.m. on ESPN. We also found out today that Bob Wischusen and Brock Huard will be calling the game.
