With signing day nearly a week over, the Cougars have not stopped recruiting yet as they landed an in-state commit

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington State Cougars coaching staff have still not slowed down their recruiting for the 2016 class even after signing day has passed.

In-state linebacker, Dylan Axelson, announced Monday evening that he will be wearing a Cougar uniform next year. At 6'0", 210 lb, he set the record for most tackles in a single season as well as becoming the all-time leading tackler at Woodinville High School. Axelson was also named to the All-KingCo defense (2x), first team All-KingCo offense, 4A/3A first team All-State linebacker, and Seattle Times All-Area linebacker.

With the Cougars 2016 recruiting class full, the speedy and agile Axelson will be a preferred walk-on. Bethel High School quarterback Bryce Missey, Bellarmine Prep linebacker Erik Glueck, and Lake Stevens wide receiver Riley Krenz are other known in-state commits that will be a preferred walk on.
