Cougar fans got some more good news this afternoon as Richland offensive tackle Dontae Powell followed the lead of top quarterback recruit Connor Neville and gave his pledge to the Cougars.

Powell is considered a composite three-star recruit by 247Sports, but Scout.com sees him as a four-star talent and lists him as the No. 6 offensive tackle on the west coast. The 6-foot-6, 300-pounder also claimed offers from Colorado State and Wyoming. He reportedly still has some work to do in the classroom, so this could be the reason he hasn't gotten some more high-profile offers yet. Here are some highlights of Powell.

Certainly a force at line of scrimmage and possesses the frame that Mike Leach loves in his linemen.

This is by far the most productive junior day WSU has had so far and the day isn't over yet. Much credit belongs to special teams coach Eric Mele as both of these kids are from his northwest recruiting territory. The future continues to look bright for the Cougars.
