WSU got some minor scheduling news today with B.J. Rains of the Idaho Press-Tribune and ESPN Boise reporting the Cougs' game with the Boise State Broncos will get a time and channel come mid-June.
This game seemed to be a prime candidate to be moved to Friday considering the involvement of a Mountain West team and it being an early season non-conference game. But while the time and where you'll be clicking on your remote are left to be determine, the day of the week isn't.
@Nate_Koz @RM_Preston The game is locked in for Saturday, Sept. 10 though. Can't change to Thursday or Friday.

I had an inkling this would be the case when the Mountain West TV schedule for the conference season was release a week or so ago and showed Boise State playing five of their games on a day other than Saturday. Putting yet another game earlier in the week than it needs to be would be pretty unfair so keeping their toughest non-conference tilt a full week away from their opener (at the Louisiana Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns) is preferable.
If you were waiting for this news to buy your flight and hotel ... well, I'd still wait. We aren't sure yet what time the game will be at but late in the evening or afternoon would allow for your to fly in early Saturday and save a night on hotel. But if you booked a flight for Saturday and the game ended up at noon, that'd be pretty crappy. In my experience, Alaska usually runs a ton of sales on flights to Boise and the hotels don't look to be too expense (running right around $100/night on a quick Expedia search).
Regardless, we know the date the Cougs will be on the smurf turf won't change. Now we just need the time.
