Besides learning today when the Apple Cup would kick off, the Pac-12 also announced kick off times and TV channels to WSU's two non-conference home games against the Eastern Washington Eagles and the Idaho Vandals. The opener on Sept. 3 against EWU will kick at 5 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network/Washington, and the game on Sept. 17 versus Idaho starts at 11 a.m., also on the Pac-12 Network/Washington.
It's not too surprising that these were the only other games we learned about today. WSU doesn't have any weekday conference games so most of their start times for conference games won't be decided until, at maximum, two weeks prior. As for the remaining non-conference game, the trip to play the Boise State Broncos is staying on Saturday, we just won't know the time until later this month.
This is a good time to remind you the Pac-12 is programming things a little differently this year and that not all the games appearing on their television station will be on all of their networks. That was sometimes the case early in the year just because of the volume of football games but if you're a WSU fan living in the Portland media market and you don't have the flagship channel ... better get your computer fired up to watch. Games will only be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network and the corresponding regional networks for the teams involved.
Hey, gives you a better excuse to go to Pullman and let me whoop your butt on the golf course after the Idaho game though!
