The Washington State Volleyball season is just under two months away and the conference announced the Cougars 2016 schedule on Monday.
After finishing last season 16-16, the Cougar women will look to increase their success from last season and will start that journey on Friday August 26th at 9:00 am PT against Kentucky at the Purdue Mortar Board Tournament in West Lafayette, Indiana. They will follow up that game with a game against the host school, Purdue at 4:30 pm PT. They will finish up the tournament on the 27th with a game against Wyoming at 10:00 am
The Cougars will participate in three more invitationals/tournaments before starting conference play. After leaving Indiana they will head to Long Beach, California for the Long Beach State Tournament for three games the first weekend in September. They will then host the Cougar Challenge Tournament for another three games September 9-10th. They will then head to Waco Texas for the Baylor invitational September 17-18th.
After finishing up their tournament schedule he Cougars will head to Seattle to start their conference schedule off against the Huskies on September 21st. That game will be played on Pac-12 Washington at 7:00 pm.
The Cougars first home conference game will come against Stanford on September 30th at 7:00 pm.
Jen Greeny will head into her 6th season as head coach and will be returning six starters and 12 letterwinners from last years team.
The conference has 11 of the Cougars 2016 games on Pac-12 Networks this season including both matchups against Washington, Arizona, Utah, and Stanford.
