It's the Fourth of July which, among many other things, signifies a day of grilling, day drinking and fireworks. It also serves as yearly signal that college football season is coming.
It won't be long until WSU and every other team around the country opens fall camp. Then before you know it Week 1 is here. Let's all set off some fireworks because football season is almost back. The approach of this season is even a little more exciting because for the first time in more than a decade, WSU opens a season trying to win back-to-back bowl games. Set off some more fireworks for that. It may have been six months since WSU beat Miami, but that win is still worth a Roman candle or two.
Exciting times are on the way. They just aren't here quite yet. Instead there is a season preview that calls WSU a Pac-12 championship dark horse (woo!) but also refers to the Cougars as "Wazoo" (boo).
