After being named the Pac-12 freshman of the week for the first time last week, Chanelle Molina was given the award for the second straight week on Monday. Molina helped the Cougars to two big wins over the past weekend over # 7 UCLA and USC.

On Friday against UCLA, Molina had 33 points in the Cougars 82-73 win. Shooting 13 of 20 she scored the most points on the Bruins since 2003 and tied the freshman record for most points and also landed at number 10 on the all time performance list for the program. Then, on Sunday in the 74-57 win over the Trojans she scored 16.

Molina averages 12.8 points per game and is shooting 52.9% from the field this season. She is the second freshman to achieve this award in back-to-back weeks in the past two years as Borislava Hristova was given the award January 19 and 25 last season.

The Cougars will head to Arizona to take on Arizona State on the 13th at 10:00 am and then Arizona on the 15th at 11:00 am.
