Gabe Marks turning heads at Shrine Game practices

The former WSU receiver is working hard in the run up to the NFL Draft.

The East-West Shrine Game is still two days away, but as people who follow the NFL Draft and these events know, it’s the practices where you really have a chance to make an impression on the scouts in attendance.

In that respect, former WSU wide receiver Gabe Marks is already making a favorable impression.

Not that this comes as any surprise to any of us, but it’s still awesome to read about nonetheless. Here’s a little clip of Marks abusing a cornerback with those incredible feet we’ve come to love:

It’s much too early to have a sense of where Marks will be projected to go in the draft, but this is all obviously good news for one of our all-time favorite WSU players. And, of course, it’s good news that Gabe is still giving interviews. Here he is on a range of football-related topics, but the notion of "system player" draws particular ire.

The money quote? "If I wasn’t good, it wouldn’t have worked."

If you want to watch Gabe in the Shrine Game, it’ll be broadcast at noon PST on Saturday on NFL Network.
