The show will, in all likelihood, go on today as the Washington State Cougars face the California Golden Bears in Berkeley. Air quality has been a concern leading into this game as northern California continues to be ravaged by massive wildfires.
Cal started the season hot, going 3-0 with wins over big names like the North Carolina Tar Heels and Ole Miss Rebels. But those wins have gotten less impressive as the season has worn on and they’re 0-3 since with losses to the USC Trojans, Oregon Ducks, and Washington Huskies.
WSU, meanwhile, is headed in the opposite direction. They’re perfect on the season (and already bowl eligible) with consecutive victories over USC in Pullman and a thorough thrashing of the Ducks in Eugene last weekend.
This should be a relatively easy one for Washington State; Vegas likes them by 15 points on the road and everything (outside of injuries to their linebackers) seems to be rolling right now for the Cougs; though games in Berkeley have had a tendency to be a little weird over the years.
