Luke vs. Tyler

There has been a lot of talk, bitter, irrational, emotional, angry, helpful and sarcastic. But the common thread, is that Luke does not feel like the Luke we had in 2015 and that Tyler feels a lot more like that Luke.

Further, in a recent comment thread, it was suggested to one Tyler-adamant Coug that (s)he create a fan-post in order to get the Luke vs. Tyler conversation out of the comment sections on stories that talk about winning being an irritant. So, just to get us started, let me put forth my own, non-expert, non-fact based opinion. :D

The Luke we have today is a more mature football player, and is quite likely indicative of how his future playing is going to proceed. The Luke of 2015 was an immature or raw QB, quite like the Tyler we've seen in various games. Unfortunately, the mature Luke isn't what we want to see -- we want flash, daring, speed. We want AIR RAID FOOTBALL!

Well, I just want to win.

Now, I am going to hedge my bets a little bit.

If Raw Luke is present and just killing the dawgs, then let him keep doing that. It may get boring, kind of like the Oregon State yawner, but we'd be winning, back to what we all want!

If Mature Luke is getting the job done with a conservative type play (with or without the tremendous support of SPEED-D), then let him keep slowly gashing the opposing defense and if he is keeping us ahead in the score, then let him keep doing that. We'd be winning, also what we want.

If the Mature Luke is so frozen that the game is in jeopardy, then maybe give the Raw Tyler the chance to change the outcome. We might be able to make a comeback with the Rawness and unexpected play of Tyler. Not the optimal outcome, but if it wins the game, then it's what we want.

Heck, put them both in and let the center decide who gets the ball. :D Yeah, this would just be chaos.

So, anyway. Have at it.

PS Tuscon Coug, I expect a reply. :)
