Three-star running back Max Borghi, one of Washington State’s top commits in the 2018 recruiting class, will not sign with the Cougs today, according The Bootleg reporter R.J. Abeytia, who covers the Stanford Cardinal.
Have it from a source that Max Borghi has informed WSU that he will not be signing a NLI with them today.— R.J. Abeytia (@RJ_Abeytia) December 20, 2017
Back in June, Washington State was able to go into Colorado’s backyard and flip Borghi from his commitment to the Buffaloes, surprising many, and the talented back was expected to sign with WSU today.
So, what does this mean? It’s probably less than ideal for the Cougs considering the report is coming from a Stanford reporter. If I were a betting man, I’d guess Borghi ends up rocking Cardinal when it’s all said and done, though it’s unknown whether Borghi has been offered or if he’s been accepted to the school. Guess we’ll find out.
Gotta love signing day.
