Taylor Mims selected to U.S. Women's Collegiate National Volleyball Team

Washington State junior Taylor Mims was selected to the U.S. Women's Collegiate National Volleyball Team on Monday. Mims will join the team for the Europe Tour in mid-July.

The CNT-Europe team will practice and compete July 5-16 and then again in the 13th Annual European Global Challenge July 11-14 in Croatia.While training, the team will be located in Maribore, Slovenia and will practice and play friendly matches against other National teams.

In 2016 Mims earned Prepvolleyball.com and Pac-12 All-American Honorable Mentions. That same year she also earned Pac-12 player of the week honors on two separate occasions. She also ranks 14th in WSU history with 42 solo blocks, 16th with 239 block assists, 16th with 281 total blocks, and fifth with an average of 1.30 blocks per set.

In 2016 Washington State players Casey Shoenlein and McKenna Woodford and coach Jen Greeny were selected to the same team. The three Cougars helped the U.S. earn their first Global Challenge Tournament win.
