In 2019 and 2020 Pullman will be playing host to a variety of NCAA regionals the national organization announced on Tuesday. Two of these will be for the first time ever in these respective sports.
On November 15th, 2019 WSU will host the NCAA Cross Country western regional. It will be held at the Colfax Golf Club. This is the first time WSU has hosted a Cross Country regional. The university previously hosted the 2015 Men’s and Women’s Pac-12 championship in Colfax.
Also in 2019 WSU will play host to the Men’s Golf Regional at the well-regarded Palouse Ridge golf course. This is the second time Palouse Ridge has played host to a men’s regional, the first time was in 2013. It will be held May 12-15.
In 2020 WSU will host a Women’s Golf regional for the first time at Palouse Ridge. This is first time WSU has hosted a major women’s tournament. It will take place from May 11-13.
The NCAA tournament is also returning to Spokane in 2020, but WSU is no longer the host school with Idaho taking the lead instead
These three regionals are a nice feather in the cap for Bill Moos and company to bring them to the Palouse.
