The Washington State baseball team will head north to Spokane on Tuesday evening to play the finale of the season series against Gonzaga at 6:00 pm on SWX.
For the Cougars, Colby Nealy will get the start. Owning a 4-2 record with a 5.56 ERA, the Junior right hander has 29 strikeouts in 37.1 innings pitched. Gonzaga will have redshirt-Sophomore Justin Blatner on the mound. With a 9.00 ERA, he has 4 strikeouts in 3 innings pitched this season.
These two teams have already met twice this season and the Bulldogs have came away with a victory each time. The Cougars dropped the first game on April 17th in Spokane 9-4. A week later the Bulldogs traveled to Pullman left with a 7-3 victory.
The Cougars have won 6 of their last 8 games and are coming off of four consecutive series wins against Washington, Utah, Oregon, and UCLA. They will look to continue that conference hot streak and will head to Corvallis to take on Oregon State for a three game series starting Friday. They will then wrap up their regular season at home against Stanford for a three game series starting May 25.
