Former Washington State forward Josh Hawkinson will work out for the Los Angeles Lakers today. This is the second of the Lakers 2017 pre- draft workouts and will include five other athletes.
Hawkinson finished his career as a Cougar as the all-time leader in double-doubles with 56 and is the all-time leader in rebounds with 1,015. This past season Hawkinson averaged 15.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game which landed him on the 2017 Second Team All-Pac-12 list.
Joining Hawkinson during the second day of workouts is Arizona guard Kadeem Allen. The two will join Utah forward Kyle Kuzma as the pac-12 attendees so far as Kuzma had his tryout on Monday.
The Lakers hold the second overall pick as well as the 28th overall pick in the first round. The Lakers don't own a second round pick and will look to make move outside of the draft. Since Hawkinson is not projected to be taken, the Lakers could be looking beyond the draft.
The NBA Draft is on Thursday, June 22nd and will be on ESPN.
