If WSU’s early television selections are any indications, Coug fans probably should get used to lots of late nights once again: Of the five initial game times announced today by the Pac-12, four of them kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT.
Three of those are in Pullman: September 2 against Montana State, September 9 against Boise State and September 29 against USC. The fourth is at California on October 13.
Both the USC and Cal games are on a Friday and will be broadcast on ESPN; Montana State will be broadcast on FS1 (we’re as surprised as you are), and Boise State will be broadcast on one of the ESPN family of networks.
The other game is a 2:30 p.m. PT kickoff on September 16 in Pullman against Oregon State, to be broadcast on Pac-12 Network.
The late starts are, again, a little rough but they obviously workout well for the two Friday games WSU will play this upcoming season, including the finale to the five-straight home game September against USC. Already getting four games on what are thought of as the more traditional national networks is great as well.
The rest of the games, including the Apple Cup, will be 12 or 6-day selections as usual.
