On Thursday the Washington State men’s basketball team released its upcoming schedule for the 2017-2018 season. Let’s take a look!
After hosting Saint Martin’s for an exhibition game on Nov. 5, the Cougs begin the non-conference schedule with a game against Texas Southern, who last visited Pullman in 2015 and force overtime against WSU.
Throughout November and December, Seattle U, Idaho State, UC Davis, IUPUI, and Bethune-Cookman make the visit to Beasley Coliseum in what hopefully will be an above .500 non-conference record for the Cougars.
After traveling to Kansas City, Mo. to take on Kansas State, the Wildcats and Cougars will face-off at Spokane Arena on Wednesday, December 20.
WSU will begin Pac-12 play at the end of December down in SoCal against USC/UCLA and return home to host Washington in what will likely be the Saturday or Sunday before Spring Semester starts.
Coincidentally, UCLA and USC are the only two teams in the conference who won’t travel to Beasley this year, and WSU only makes one trip to Arizona to see the Wildcats and Sun Devils. Fortunately, three of those four teams will likely be ranked all season (you can guess which one isn’t), so the Cougars catch a break by only seeing those three teams once.
The full schedule can be seen right here. However, specific dates for conference games and all game times have not yet been announced.
