Falk named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week

It’s the fifth such honor in the redshirt senior’s career.

Over the course of last, Saturday’s game against the Oregon State Beavers came to be known to some as the “Get Right Game” for Luke Falk. After two weeks of struggles, including a healthy benching against the Boise State Broncos, playing OSU, a team he’d shredded historically was just what Falk needed to get back on track.

Boy, did he ever.

For 396 yard, six touchdown effort against the Beavs, Falk was named the Pac-12’s Offensive Player of the Week. It’s the fifth time Falk has earned the honor and the second time he has done it against the Beavers.

Oregon State is the only team Falk has faced four times in his career and his totals are quite impressive. Including Saturday’s victory, he’s now got 1,689 yards of passing, 22 touchdowns and two interceptions. In fact, his 396 yards of passing was the lowest total of his career against Oregon State.

Falk should be licking his chops again for this weekend’s opponent, the Nevada Wolf Pack. Nevada has yet to win a game after losing to the Idaho State Bengals 30-28 last weekend and their defense surrenders 8.28 yards per passing attempt ... which is bad.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. in Pullman and the game will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
