WSU soccer welcomes USC for massive match

Big one tonight!

The 19th-ranked WSU soccer team welcomes the no. 2 USC Trojans to Pullman in a big Pac-12 showdown tonight. The Cougs are on a two-game losing streak after winning their first 10 games of the season.

The Cougs and Trojans are two of the Pac-12’s five nationally-ranked teams. Leading USC? That would be Keidane McAlpine, who coached at WSU in 2012 and 2013.

The Cougs upset then-no. 2 UCLA last year, so who’s to say they can’t to the same to the Bruins’ rival? The Cougs have been winning this season with a balanced attack. Ten different players have goals this year, and backup goaltender Rachel Thompson has filled in nicely for the injured Ella Dederick.

This is the perfect opportunity to pack the Lower Soccer Field for the 7 p.m. start. If you’re not in Pullman, there should be a live stream on the WSU Athletics’ website.

Also, you can snag a snazzy t-shirt:
