We did it!
ESPN’s College GameDay announced minutes ago that it’s bringing its road show to America’s no. 1 city: Pullman, Washington. Kirk Herbstreit set the Internet ablaze with the announcement:
THIS IS NOT A DRILL

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ... PULLMAN, WE'RE COMING TO YOUR CITY! pic.twitter.com/G7VToavDPG
The Oregon Ducks’ 30-27 overtime win over the Washington Huskies sure helped. Soon after the Ducks’ win, Chris Fallica, better known as “Bear” on GameDay, sent this cryptic tweet:
So it appears the airport code for Spokane is GEG...

We pumped the breaks on the GameDay talk earlier this week, not wanting anybody to get their hopes up. Turns out the dominoes that needed to fall indeed fell. Auburn’s loss to Tennessee helped, and of course the aforementioned Oregon win probably cemented it.
This has been a long time coming. ‘Ol Crimson is approaching its 15th straight year flying our beautiful colors on each episode. It’s finally coming home.
We’ll probably have much more this week as we approach Christmas GameDay, but for now, rejoice!
And get those GameDay sign ideas going. See you Saturday.
