In what was a surreal experience in Pullman, the College GameDay trucks finally rolled into the hometown of your Washington State Cougars today in advance of their matchup with the No. 12 Oregon Ducks on Saturday.
It seemed as if the entirety of Pullman was transfixed by the arrival — a sea of crimson greeting the much-anticipated crew. The arrival came a bit later than everyone anticipated; the trucks were supposed to roll through on this path at around noon:

Instead, it was after 2 p.m. But that didn’t do anything to dampen the spirits of those who had gathered to greet the caravan. This is before the arrival:

If you’re wondering if the good folks at ESPN noticed ... yeah, they noticed. Here’s the host of the show:

Way to go, Pullman. You showing the sports world why we’re so friggin’ awesome, and why it was such a travesty that it took so damn long for GameDay to get here. And we’re just getting warmed up.
To those students and staff at WSU who don’t care much for sports? Sorry about this:
