Podcast: Buffaloes blasted; wreck some Wildcats

It sure was nice to breathe in the second half, wasn't it? After going through a bunch of butt-clenchers this year, the Cougs gave us a break with a dominant 31-7 win over Colorado, picking up some much-needed style points.

It wasn't Gardner Minshew's best game, but it did feature what may be considered his "Heisman moment" should he receive an invite when he hopped Super Mario-style over the pylon after evading two defenders for what was essentially a put-away touchdown.

Max Borghi continued to stand out, putting up 72 total yards and an impressive 28-yard touchdown on a swing pass, running by one defender and juking another on his way to the end zone. Welcome home, kid--must have been fun to do that in front of so many friends and family. Could he be in a Heisman race in the next couple of years? We discuss that.

Dezmon Patmon and Calvin Jackson were the receiving stars in this game, including a 48-yard catch and run from Patmon in which he layed a devastating stiffarm on a chasing defender. Tay Martin even got into the action, looking like his old self on three receptions, including an impressive 26-yard catch-and-run.

In what we learned, we talk about Minshew's ability to make in-game adjustments, the bond this Coug team seems to have with one another, and the fact that they can win a game without a single tackle from Peyton Pelleur.

Around the Pac-12, we discuss UCLA's continued improvement despite losing to ASU, Oregon looking like they may be giving up, Stanford going the opposite direction, and California looking like they may be truly on the rise.

In commentary, we discuss whether or not WSU fans should be worried about the slow starts on offense the last two weeks, and whether that will be a problem against the more talented teams WSU will be facing in the Apple Cup and beyond.

Finally, it's time to preview the Arizona game. Arizona has been up and down all year, but is coming off of consecutive games in which they've scored over 40 points. The game will be played in frigid Pullman, however, and we're skeptical that the desert kids of Arizona will be able to adjust in time. Still Arizona is a good team, and shouldn't be taken lightly. We tell you what to look out for, and what you can expect the Cougs to do against an Arizona defense that runs hot and cold. Hopefully, like the temperatures in Pullman, they'll run cold this Saturday night.
