NCAA Basketball: Oregon State at Washington State James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning Coug fans, and welcome to December. Our Cougs didn’t play in the Pac-12 Championship game last night, but did anybody across the country notice?

So without a football recap, let’s talk basketball. Your 4-1 Washington State Cougars leave the state for the first time this season as they head to New Mexico to take on the New Mexico State Aggies. Tip off is at 6 p.m. PST, and if you want to watch the game on TV, it looks like you’re out of luck. I hope you have a computer or other device handy, though, because you can catch it online on the WAC Digital Network.

You can always listen on the radio, of course. Check out the game notes to find a station near you, or use the TuneIn app.

The Aggies are 5-1 and were a tournament team last year. KenPom ranks the Aggies no. 115. The Cougs are no. 181, for comparison’s sake.

It’s a new team for WSU this season with a number of new faces, but one we’re all used to is Robert Franks, who has scored 20 points or more in all of the games he’s played. The one game he didn’t play was WSU’s lone loss back on Nov. 14 at Seattle University.

The Aggies boast a balanced scoring attack, with AJ Harris, Terrell Brown and Ivan Aurrecoechea all averaging double figures.

Lastly, here’s something that raised an eyebrow: WSU hasn’t won a road non-conference game since beating Idaho in 2013. That’s the New Mexico Bowl season!

Let’s hope WSU breaks the streak tonight.
