The Washington State Cougars non-conference football schedule is filling up with the latest edition today. FBSchedules reports the Cougs have added a home-and-home with the Kansas Jayhawks in 2027 and 2028.

In a rare turn of events, WSU will actually host the front end of the agreement with the Jayhawks. KU will come to Pullman on September 11th, 2027 with the Cougs trekking to Lawrence on September 9th the following season. The Cougs and Jayhawks have actually played nine times in their history though the last time was during the Carter administration; a 14-12 win for Kansas in 1977.

Scheduling the Jayhawks actually creates a weird scheduling quirk for the Cougs. They’ll host and visit a team from Kansas (the Kansas State Wildcats previously agreed to a home-and-home) for four straight seasons starting in 2026.

It also creates just a six game home schedule for the Cougs in 2027 with a visit to the Boise State Broncos already on the docket. All that’s left that year is for the Cougs to schedule an FCS opponent, though that likely won’t happen for a few years.

Below is everything we know about the Cougs’ non-conference schedules with at least one team signed through 2029 with room for three more home-and-homes through that point. Who would you like to see on the schedule? (Side note: yes, we know, UNLV, but they already have at least one Pac-12 team on the schedule every year from 2020 to 2026 with the lone exception being 2023.)
