The Washington State Cougars had created a small tradition of sorts by wearing their all-white away combo while visiting either of the Oregon schools over the past few years. In 2019 for their match-up against the Oregon Ducks, a break from that brief tradition ... but I love it.

Personally, this is my second favorite away combo after the crimson-white-gray one the Cougs wore when visiting the Colorado Buffaloes last season. This is also the “traditional’ combo for any Apple Cup played in Seattle but I’d love to see it more often than that. wish granted!
The Cougs last wore this for the 2017 Apple Cup but also donned it in the season prior; an away game at the Stanford Cardinal. That game, as you’ll recall, went quite well. Like, 42-16 and six of those points for Stanford were a “as the final gun” sounded touchdown. Are the Cougs perhaps looking to call back to some of that good luck? Maybe! Whatever the case is though, superb combo.
