Washington State and women’s volleyball Head Coach Jen Greeny agreed to a contract extension Monday afternoon. The contract, which extends her through June of 2025, comes less than a month after she helped lead the Cougars to their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Cougars finished the 2019 campaign with a 23-10 record that included three victories over top-20 opponents. She coached a team that included the 2019 AVCA National Freshman of the year in Magda Jehlářová, four athletes make an All-Pac-12 team, three make the Pac-12 Fall Honor Roll, and all-time career program leader in digs, Alexis Dirige.
“We are blessed to work at such an amazing institution.. and we’re thankful that the administration believes in and supports WSU Volleyball.” said Greeny. She has tallied a 155-140 record in her nine years at the helm of the Cougars volleyball program and was named the 2016 Pac-12 coach of the year. Her past two seasons have added up to the most wins in consecutive years since 1996-97.
Greeny and the Cougs will head into the spring and hop on the recruiting trail hoping to make in a 5th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.
