One of my favorite developments in the last few years — other than winning a ton of football games — has been WSU football’s trolling of the Oregon Ducks.
Maybe it’s because a few coaches have left Pullman for Eugene and there is a friendly rivalry. Or maybe someone in the WSU football office really hates the swoosh. Whatever the reason, the Cougs have taken advantage of their opportunities to post things like this:

It’s one thing to throw a couple of jabs about the four-game winning streak during the season. But no, the Cougs aren’t stopping there. Enter running backs coach Eric Mele. Mele and some other coaches and staff were in Vancouver on Saturday for A Night With Cougar Football. When they flew back to Pullman on Sunday, they ended up with an Oregon-themed Horizon Air plane. Which meant only one thing, an opportunity to troll some more.
Fantastic event in Vancouver last night! Over $150,000+ raised for the @CougarAthFund...and a shoutout to our buddies from Eugene for the ride home. #GoCougs pic.twitter.com/QuxkfCcVUU

That is quality Tweeting.
Continuing the winning streak against Oregon is now even more important so we can preserve Mele’s ability to relentlessly mock the Ducks.

Just going to say this and get out of the way: The stories about Klay Thompson’s three years at Washington State are as delightful and on-brand — for both Thompson and the Cougars — as you could hope.
