Connor Barison is projected to get the start on the mound for the Cougs for the first time this season. In his five appearances so far the freshman from Redmond, Washington has given up 6 hits and 2 runs in his three innings pitched this season. He hasn’t given up a run since his first appearance on February 16th.
Troy Balko will be on the mound for the Rebels on Tuesday and looks to have a repeat of his last game where he went 6 innings and gave up a hit and a run. His previous two games he gave up 14 runs on 10 hits in 6.1 innings.
As for the series finale, the Cougars projected started is still unknown but it looks as if Ty Pohlmann will take the mound for the Rebels. The start to his season has not gone well as he has given up 7 runs in 3.1 innings pitched. In his last appearance he finished with 0.1 innings and gave up 3 runs on one hit and walked 2.
The series will wrap up on Wednesday at 1:05 and afterwards the Cougs will head to Phoenix to take on Arizona State in the Pac-12 opener for a three game series beginning Friday at 6:30.
