Good morning Coug fans. Your Washington State Cougars welcome the Oregon State Beavers today to finish out the regular season. WSU has at least two games left: today and next Wednesday at the Pac-12 Tournament. WSU is locked into the 11th spot, but Oregon State still has something to play for today, as their seed is still in flux.

Today’s game is the last home game for seniors Robert Franks, Viont’e Daniels and Davante Cooper. Unfortunately, with the students on spring break, it might be a little quiet in Beasley Coliseum.
The Cougs have dropped four straight, including a 48-point loss at Stanford and a loss at woeful Cal. The Oregon Ducks came to Pullman and left with a win on Thursday.
The Beavers are looking for that top-four seed in the Pac-12 Tournament and the first round bye that comes with it. Beat WSU and have the Utah Utes lose to the UCLA Bruins, and the third seed is theirs. A win for Oregon State guarantees at least the four seed.
So, this is a big one for the Beavers. As we said, WSU is locked into no. 11 but their first round opponent is TBD. It’ll all sort itself out today.
Baseball wins its home opener
It’s not exactly warm in Pullman, but the Cougs were able to hit the diamond to open the home portion of the baseball season. WSU scored three runs in the third inning and it was all they needed in a 3-1 win over Cal State Northridge.
WSU used four pitchers to hold CSN to four hits. The teams are back at it today at 1 p.m.
