Let’s be honest, it’s been a rough season for the WSU baseball team. With just 11 games left in the season, the Cougars still only have single-digit wins.
However, that win total went up by one on Sunday thanks to a 13-2 beatdown of Washington. The Cougars racked up 14 hits, scored 8 runs in the fifth inning and hit a pair of home runs in the Senior Day victory.
It may not be a great season, but at least it produced this headline from the Washington student newspaper.
“Huskies upset by Cougars 13-2, put postseason in jeopardy”

The Cougars play Gonzaga on Monday, where a win will clinch the season series over their in-state rivals.
