The Washington State Cougars have added another player to their class of 2020 — and once, again it’s a wide out from the Lone Star State.
Mike Leach has received a commitment from 5-foot-11, 174-pound receiver Cedrick Pellum out of Dallas, Texas. The player who calls himself “Megatron” made the announcement today on his Twitter account.
(As a side note, it’s a good sign that people are referring to WSU as “the illustrious Washington State University.”)

Pellum is from James Madison High School in Dallas. He is currently ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports’ evaluators but doesn’t yet have a composite rating. The Cougs reportedly beat out Power Five teams Indiana and Kansas along with Group of Five teams including in-state programs such as Houston and SMU.
As you can see from the highlights, Pellum is a speedy deep threat and fits perfectly in WSU’s unit of wide outs. He excelled last season catching 27 passes for 473 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Pellum is just the latest receiver from the Lone Star State to head to Pullman. Redshirt freshman Kassidy Woods hails from Addison, Texas, while the team recently signed Wylie, Texas, native Donovan Ollie. Two years ago, Drue Jackson from Sachse, Texas, joined the WSU program, but left during his freshman season.
