It’s been a long offseason. It feels like it’s been decades since the Cougars won the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio and we last saw the Cougs play a real football game. But the offseason is almost over, and Pac-12 media day is the first sign of light at the end of the tunnel.
All 12 conference coaches and some of the best Pac-12 players have arrived in Hollywood for the annual conference media day at Hollywood and Highland. This season, Mike Leach will be joined offensive lineman Liam Ryan and linebacker Jahad Woods.
This year, you’ll have two chances to see the Cougs speak to the media. At 10:20 AM, Leach and the players will hold their press conference. That availability can be seen online at the link here. Immediately after that press conference, the representatives will head to the TV side, joining the crew on “Inside Pac-12 Football” for an interview at 10:30 AM on the Pac-12 Network.
If you want to get to know the competition, the fun starts on the TV side at 9:30 AM with the Oregon Ducks, followed by all of the north division teams until noon. After a short break, the north division will kick things off at 2:30 PM with UCLA getting things started. Their interviews run through 5 PM on the Pac-12 Network.
And, of course, if you’re a fan of fireworks, you should probably log onto the press conference stream at 8 AM when Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott faces the media. He will likely face a couple of tough questions.
