Podcast Vs. Everyone: Fall camp marches onward

New, comments

Few questions are getting answered, particularly at QB, as the excitement of camp is wearing off a little bit.

NCAA Football: Arizona at Washington State James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

The funny thing about fall camp is that there’s a ton of excitement once the Washington State Cougars finally take that first massive step toward the next season. And then ... well, it doesn’t take all that long for it to wear off a little and start getting antsy for the season.

Well, your cohosts of Podcast Vs. Everyone have sort of already reached that point. To be honest, a lot of that has to do with the fact that we get lots of reports about things like the QB battle, but not a lot of clarity about Mike Leach’s thinking, which publicly boils down to things like “I thought the guys were good” and “I thought they showed good effort” and “they just need to get more consistent.”

Of course, that doesn’t stop us from talking about it anyway!

Show rundown for this week’s Podcast Vs. Everyone:

  • Small talk/beer: Jeff again goes for some fruit in his beverage (courtesy of Matchless Brewing) while Craig brought another IPA back from his homeland of Yakima (courtesy of Valley Brewing).
  • Fall camp (16:00ish): Let’s catch up on the QB battle, and talk some DBs too.
  • MONEY (31:00ish): We all know that WSU doesn’t compare favorably to its peers in terms of revenue. How does that feel? To what should we aspire?
  • Question time! (59:00ish): What game on the schedule are we probably more confident about than we should be? And what game on the schedule are we less confident about than we should be?
  • 1995 (1:15:00ish): This tweet is ridiculous.

Fair warning — we do use naughty words from time to time.

You’ll probably hate it. We don’t care.
