Podcast Vs. Everyone: An interview with Mark Hilinski

The father of Tyler and co-founder of Hilinski’s Hope joins us to talk about the strides the foundation is making to impact college athlete mental wellness all over the country.

Our UNIT3D for Hilinski’s Hope campaign is nearing its conclusion, and while we’ve already raised more than $2,000 for the mental wellness of college athletes all over the country, we wanted to make one final push.

So, we invited Mark Hilinski — father of Tyler, co-founder of Hilinski’s Hope — on to the podcast to talk about the progress the foundation is making and the impact your dollars make on what they’re able to do to prevent another tragedy by suicide.

(And if you prefer a direct donation to the foundation rather than buying another hoodie or t-shirt, you can do that here. Shoot us an email at cougcenter@gmail.com to let us know and we can add it to the total.)

After the interview, we also talked football, speculating about who will start at quarterback for your Washington State Cougars (we think Cammon Cooper), expressing our worries about the defense, and opining about the latest recruiting commits. And beer. Always beer.

Fair warning: We do use naughty words from time. You’ll probably hate it. We don’t care.

(But if you do like it, please leave us a five-star review — it helps other people find the podcast.)
