The Pac-12 announced two kickoff times for the Cougars over the past few days with the Oregon game on November 14th being announced Sunday and the Stanford game on November 21st being announced Monday. The two announcements came just a day apart and are setting the Cougs up for a break from Pac-12 after dark before jumping right back on the train. Their Week 2 game against Oregon will kickoff at 4:00 pm PT while the Week 3 game against Stanford will kickoff at 8:00 pm PT.
The first game to be announced came Sunday when the conference announced the kickoff time for Oregon’s trip to Pullman. The Ducks are coming off of a 35-14 victory over the Stanford Cardinal last Saturday. Projected to be one of the best teams in the Country, it took them a while to get started as they held a 14-7 lead at half. Their first four drives went punt, touchdown, interception, fumble. They finally figured it out in the second half as their final five drives of the game included four touchdowns and a missed 37 yard field goal.
Stanford’s first four drives in the same game included a punt, two missed field goals, and a touchdown. Their final three full drives ended with two missed field goals and a touchdown. They also had the ball at both the end of the first half and the end of the game but couldn’t do much of anything with either drive.
The Cardinal will host Colorado this weekend before WSU head to Stanford in two weeks.
Statistically, both teams looked very similar as the Ducks had 227 yards passing while the Cardinal had 216 yards through the air. On the ground, both teams had a 100-yard rusher but the leader in rushing went to Oregon as they had 269 yards compared to 197 yards the Cardinal had.
While neither team had a sack, the Cardinal did manage to pick off Oregon quarterback Tyler Shough once.
