Hello Coug fans. Count yourself among the lucky ones because we all get to watch our favorite college football team play a game today. A bunch of other fan bases can’t say the same thing. Yesterday was wild for the Pac-12, as COVID cases forced the league to cancel the ASU - Cal game due to positive COVID tests at ASU. It was soon reported that ASU head coach Herm Edwards was among those who tested positive for COVID.
Then the league called off the Utah - UCLA game for COVID reasons at Utah, and players aren’t happy with California’s stringent rules (while its governor breaks them).
Exposed to COVID19. 8 days of testing. 20 plus negative tests later. LA county still doesn’t want me playing. Disappointment and frustration are both understatements for the way I feel. When it’s finally my time to step back on the field... feel bad for whoever I’m going against.

Instead of missing a game for the second week in a row, Cal will play at UCLA on Sunday. Utah is out of a game for a second week in a row, unfortunately.
Oh, and also: The Pac-12 admitted Stanford quarterback Davis Mills, who sat out last week at Oregon due to COVID, should have been allowed to play after all. Great work!
So getting to play a game two weeks in a row is a win in 2020.
WSU welcomes the Oregon Ducks tonight and the weather is probably going to be awful. The Ducks are no. 11 nationally and are loaded with talent....but you already knew that since you read Craig’s preview.
You all remember the last time Oregon came to Pullman with a high ranking. Tim Brando was on the call then, and he’s on the call tonight, too. I’m not a superstitious guy, but I’m a little stitious (IYKYK).
OK, onto the bold predictions:
Three Bold Predictions
- Deon McIntosh will once again carry the load with Max Borghi out to the tune of no less than 150 yards and two touchdowns, and both touchdowns will come in the first half.
- Jayden de Laura won’t be phased by Oregon’s talented defense and will lead the Cougs to a score on his first possession.
- There will be a defensive touchdown and a special teams touchdown in the game.
Can ducks fly in snow, sleet and wind?
