Good morning Coug fans, and TGIF. I know for me it’s been a long week, but the events are far from over. On Sunday, we play the Washington Huskies. My favorite thing in the world at the moment is looking at the Pac-12 Standings and seeing them ranked 12th. In the Pac-12. It feels so nice.
I thought about all the things I could do for this one, because as we established during football season, I have trouble resisting any opportunity to tease the Huskies. Even in basketball!!
For that reason, I have a Sunday Roast! But, on a Friday.
The game is at 3 p.m. at Beasley, so students, you know what I’m going to request you do… It’s show up. I would like you to all go. I keep getting basketball FOMO.
Anyway, let’s get on with it, shall we?
Isaiah Stewart is the only real player on that team, and his field goal percentage is 57%. That’s an F, scholastically speaking. Can’t even get into UW with those grades.
Quade Green leads the team in assists, a whole 5.3 per game. His FG% is 51.4%. He’s not even going to play in the game. And I am basically as tall as him. That’s really all I have to say about that.
Nahziah Carter- 38.9% of 3s this season? Or did I sleep through some?
Jamal Bey steals about as well as middle school girls lifting hair accessories from Claire’s. It doesn’t go well. Yet he still leads the team.
The biggest drag for this game is that they lost to Oregon at home. And had to look as Payton Pritchard yelled “my city” in their house.
I love that energy. I also love the energy of us beating Payton Pritchard.
Mike Hopkins looks like someone who plays a disappointed, unnamed step dad in a knock off Disney movie.
There are other players on the team, obviously, but those guys stood out to me as key players to be aware of, and also people I could tease. And, all this being said, UW still has the projected win. So we’ll see on Sunday!
