Podcast Vs. Everyone presents: Everyone in 60 - WSU vs. OSU, 2019

Note: This episode was recorded on Tuesday evening before we knew about the death of safety Bryce Beekman. Our tone obviously doesn’t reflect the devastating news, but we’re going to go ahead and post it. Just keep that in mind.

With live sports at a standstill thanks to the coronavirus, we decided to go back to a feature we thought we’d go to with a bit more regularity during last offseason: Everyone in 60.

The concept is simple. Pick a game, watch the 60-minute version together, and talk over the top of it. We called it “Everyone in 60” because, if you do it right, you — yes, YOU — can be a part of the show by watching the game and listening along to the podcast simultaneously!

For this one, we picked what was the most epic victory of the 2019 season: WSU 54, OSU 53 in the final home game of the year to give the Washington State Cougars bowl eligibility.

Show rundown:

  • Intro: Just a little bit of catching up on life as we work from home before touching on our beers and then introducing this week’s game.
  • WSU 54, OSU 53 - 2019 (34:00ish): Winner goes to a bowl, loser (probably) stays home, given their next opponents. And it was a crazy back-and-forth affair in which WSU went from up by double digits in the fourth quarter to down by double digits in a span of a few minutes, only to come back and win it on a Max Borghi touchdown with two seconds left.
