Cougs stick(er) together

Dallas Hobbs supports Beekman family!

Good morning Coug fans! I hope you’re all hanging in there. It’s been a rough few weeks. I wanted to draw your attention to something Defensive Linemen Dallas Hobbs created to support Bryce Beekman’s family, and to honor Bryce. A sticker campaign! Thus the title. Sorry about that pun, I couldn’t resist. Hobbs isn’t accepting orders currently, but he has plans to start up another round. You can find the sticker orders page there!

The campaign opened on April 4th, and sold out by April 8th. It only took four days for Coug Nation to buy it out, so follow him on twitter to stay up to date on the next order! Here:

Community is such an essential part of being, and this only reminds me that we can always find ways to show up for each other, even when we can’t gather. The passing of Bryce Beekman reminded me of a recent passing in my own hometown community, and we’ve found ways to show up for each other too. The stickers are youthful and cool, and from what I’ve heard, so was Bryce.

I’m incredibly proud to be a part of a community that has people like Dallas Hobbs, and Bryce Beekman. And Rolo with the takeout orders! Cougs have been doing great work on community building and support.

Speaking of community, I’m also proud of all of you! We also have to show up for ourselves right now, which means accepting yourself for where you’re at. Didn’t get out of bed today? That’s okay! Get out of bed tomorrow!

Still no live sports, it’s still very sad. I miss movie theaters, I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately. However! I’m trying to pick up new hobbies. Which is difficult to do when I can’t go out and get materials for said hobbies.

One thing I started doing is exercising. It’s actually pretty fun. I never understood the “working out makes me sane” angle before, and I’m not saying I’ve finally achieved true inner peace, but I’ll give credit where credit is due.

Overall I challenge you all to virtually reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while, pick up a new hobby, go for a jog- just do something for yourself today.
