Good morning Coug fans! Hope everyone is staying sane. I thought today I might give you a quick look into the new commit, Christian Hilborn, from Highland High School in Utah. Very fun school name, might I say. Try ‘Highland High School’ five times fast!
Standing at 6’5” and a recent Twitter user, he’s played both Defensive End and Offensive Tackle, however he’ll be suiting up on the O-line in 2021. Overall pretty exciting! His highlight reel is worth a peek- check it out here! This is the second 2021 commit for the Cougs, spearheaded by our new favorite guy, Mr. Nick Rolovich himself.
It does feel nice to see the ways Rolo is adapting to recruiting during quarantine. With the installation of the ‘bat signal’ and his adaptation to abiding by social distancing/travel restrictions. Four particular images come to mind, for example, with his virtual tour. There’s just so much going on there, and I love all of it.
https://twitter.com/WSUCougarFB/status/1252780469751447552?s=20 for the photos that I’m sure you’ve already seen, but in case you haven’t- OR, you just want a little burst of happiness again.
This isn’t exactly athletics related, but I am thinking of the senior students who would be honoring and celebrating their academic achievements soon. I hope the champagne and Coors lite are flowing safely at home! Congrats, graduates.
I will say, in the time I’ve spent writing this, three runners have jogged by my house. It must be a beautiful day out there- so go sit in your backyard and enjoy it. I hope everyone is staying safe. Also, happy Mother’s Day weekend! Don’t forget!

A GRIP ON SPORTS • It’s sort of a chicken/egg question. Are Gonzaga’s basketball recruiting classes ranked higher because the Zags are attracting better players or because the Zags have been so successful developing players, their incoming players are ranked higher?
