With off-the-field issues dominating Washington State Cougars news these days, the podcast took another detour into some topics on which we are hardly experts by inviting an actual expert on those topics to help us make sense out of them.
Matt Brown — formerly of SB Nation and currently the purveyor of Extra Points — joined us to discuss upcoming changes to TV contracts and name/image/likeness (NIL) rules and make sense out of how those things might impact WSU.
(If you like what you hear from Matt, be sure to subscribe to his newsletter, which focuses on these kinds of off-the-field issues in the world of college athletics. We’re on the paid subscriber option, but even if you do the free subscription, it’ll make you a smarter fan. We promise!)
After that, we moved on to celebrating Kyle Smith’s latest basketball recruit and breaking down Nick Rolovich’s QB commit.
Fair warning, we do use naughty words from time. You’ll probably hate it. We don’t care.
(But if you do like it, please leave us a five-star review — it helps other people find the podcast.)
Also if you like it: You want to subscribe! It’s the fastest way to get our episodes; most of them hit the feed the night before and will be on the device of your choice before we post to the website.
