Good morning Coug fans. It’s common for Coug fans to say some variation of, “Every day is a good day to be a Coug” here and there. Yesterday was especially good for Cougs of all backgrounds and abilities. Let’s go in chronological order.
First, Krystal Leger-Walker announced she’s coming back for one more season:

The elder Leger-Walker was a senior this past season but as you probably know by now, the NCAA is doing a rare good thing for the athletes and allowing them another year of eligibility, if they choose to take it. Leger-Walker is taking that opportunity and will get to play with her All-American sister Charlisse for one more season.
A stellar defender and starting point guard, Leger-Walker will no doubt be a big boost to the team’s chances of returning to the NCAA Tournament.
Not long after Leger-Walker’s announcement, the WSU baseball team dispatched Utah 12-7 in the first game of a three-game series. Jack Smith and Kyle Russell each went 3-for-5 for WSU, with Russell finishing with three RBIs. Eight Cougs had hits, and Brandon White got the win after going six innings on 100 pitches exactly.

WSU is now 15-10.
Not to be outdone, the Cougar soccer team notched a 3-2 win over Oregon State at home and on the Lower Soccer Field. It was the first home outdoor game for WSU this spring season, and despite allowing Oregon State to open the scoring in just the second minute, WSU was able to score on all but one of its shots on goal.

WSU got goals from Elyse Bennett, Makamae Gomera-Stevens and Grayson Lynch. Lynch’s goal broke a 2-2 tie in the 65th minute.
Good things come in threes, right?
I’m imagining new football recruiting assistant Marco Regalado doing this during his job interview
New #WSU recruiting assistant @CoachRegalado has a TikTok video that’s been viewed more than more than 323,000 times, but he also has mad skills on the guitar.
