It’s been a rough road so far this season for Cougar baseball. Through 23 games, the Cougs have played 17 on the road. And after taking on Stanford for a three game set over the weekend in Pullman, the team is loading the bus and hitting the road once again.
WSU will play their next four games away from home, starting with a mid-week game tonight against Utah Valley, followed by a Pac-12 series at Utah.
The Cougs opened Pac-12 play with a rough stretch against three of the best programs in the conference. After winning their opener at Oregon State, WSU lost their next seven conference games before bouncing back with a walk-off win Sunday at home over Stanford.
Luckily for Washington State, an easier schedule is on the horizon. After taking on a 5-19 Utah Valley team, they’ll head to Salt Lake City for a three game series with Utah, who currently sits at 7-15 overall.
But first, the team turns their attention to the Wolverines of Utah Valley. The two programs have met 22 times overall, with WSU winning 15 of those. However, the Cougars did lose their last meeting dropping a 20-13 contest back in 2019.
First pitch in tonight’s matchup is set for 5 p.m. with a live web stream available here.
