The Cougs have become very familiar with Rice-Eccles stadium over the past few years as they will have now played in Salt Lake City for the third consecutive year. Last season, they held a 28-7 lead at half time before Utah scored 38 unanswered points to take the season finale 45-28. During the 2019 season, the Cougs had no answer for Tyler Huntley in the second half as the Utes would go on to win 38-13 after holding a 14-13 lead deep in the second quarter.
The early kick off comes as not much of a surprise as there will be three games kicking off during the 7:30 pm slot - Arizona at Oregon, Oregon State at USC, and Colorado at Arizona State. California and Washington will also get an evening game as they kick off at 6:30 pm in Seattle.
The Cougs (1-1) are gearing up to play USC this weekend before the trip to Utah, while the Utes (1-1) will be returning home from a road game against San Diego State.
