WSU vs. Nevada football game thread

It's already the second game thread of the season, which means it's already the second game thread of the season! This time around the Cougs will be down in Reno, Nevada, to face the Nevada Wolfpack. Coug fans will be doing their best to not face mountains of gambling debt come Monday.

But you obviously aren't one of them, because you are here! Excellent choice, if you ask me.

After a frustrating loss to Rutgers eight days ago, WSU is looking to notch that first win of the season. Nevada plays at a fast pace--its offense ran 96 plays last week (for reference, the Green Bay Packers ran 53 plays against the Seattle Seahawks yesterday). That means the defensive conditioning will be put to the test, but it also means more possessions for Connor Halliday and the WSU offense.

The good news about those 96 plays is that Nevada only scored 28 points on them against FCS Southern Utah. So there is hope for a defensive bounce-back. And if there is, you'll be right here to revel in it with fellow CougCenterites!
