Jordan Railey signs with European team

The former Washington State center will be heading to Bosnia to embark on his professional basketball career. Railey averaged 6.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game during his senior season in Pullman and was invited to the NBA Summer League as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers before signing with Igokea Aleksandrovac.

WSU soccer beats Seattle 3-1 in season opener

A good start to the Todd Shulenberger era for the Cougs in Seattle as they top the Redhawks 3-1. All four goals in the game were scored in the first half. The Cougs make a quick turnaround to Pullman as they take on Idaho Sunday night.

As usual, they've loaded up on tough trips before the conference season but a little unusually, only four of the games will happen at home (not including an exhibition). The entire schedule sets up to be quite a slog with most of their conference games at home coming in January.

Cracraft makes it on Biletnikoff Award preseason watch list

The junior-to-be joins the prestigious list before the season begins, thanks in large part to his incredible 2014. Despite playing in just nine games, Cracraft was in the top-ten in the conference for touchdown catches, receiving yards and receptions. Semi-finalists for the award are announced in November.

Incoming freshman Hristova tops U20 Championship scoring

Incoming WSU freshman Borislava Hristova helped her Bulgarian finish seventh in Division B but led the whole championship with nearly 24 points per contest and nine rebounds. Meanwhile, Maria Kostourkova finished with just over nine points and seven rebounds per contest for Portugal. Both players will stay in Europe to play in the U18 World Championships at the beginning of next month before making their way to Pullman.
