It has been 4,380 days since the Washington State Cougars have won a bowl game. It is time for that to change. Today the Cougars will make their second ever Sun Bowl appearance against the Miami Hurricanes.

WSU spent the Christmas holiday down away from their families in Texas, further preparing for the post season. The 2015 Sun Bowl is an opportunity for the Cougars to not only end the season on a high, but to put an exclamation mark on what has been an outstanding season.

The last time the Cougars played in the Sun Bowl was December 31st, 2001, against the Purdue Boilermakers. Wazzu defeated the Kyle Orton-led Boilermakers, 33-27. The season following the 2001 Sun Bowl, the Cougars went 10-2 and punched tickets to the Rose Bowl. I do not mean to get ahead of myself, but let's hope that history repeats itself.

Go out there and take care of business boys. Go Cougs!
