Coug grad '82. 2 WAZZU B.A.'s. Die hard. Bleed Crimson & Gray. Big bro and little bro are Cougs. A niece, 2 nephews and several cousins... all Cougs. Met my wife of 30 years at WSU. She is a Coug. Her parents were profs at WSU, her bro's and sis, all Cougs. Still have family in Pullman and go there every summer and fall and great escape from hollyweird.

actually snorted my coffee
on this comment…thanks for the chuckle sdcoug09.
My point was
that I was a dumb ass for not taking my own advice and betting the game since I was in Atlantic City.
Like I said, I truly had no idea what the spread was…I just assumed #3 was favored. It was me saying ‘upset’, as I never looked, we were just sitting in a convention.
I’m sure you guys are accurate as you pay attention to that stuff. He isn’t a sports guy at all by his own admission, he was just ‘in gambling mode’ as he termed it. He hit a poker slot for $800 and was excited to have ‘house money’. He heard me talking college football with another guy and asked me for a bet idea. Perhaps he was mistaken and had it reversed…could very well be. It’s not important to me frankly…I was just sorry I didn’t follow my instincts.

The part of the Jones Drew coverage
that I felt was rather silly and humorously lame, was he was acting like he was the first guy to make the comparison of Borghi to McCaffrey. He literally mispronounced the name as BORE-GEE early in the game as was quickly corrected by the other guy in the booth. I kept wondering where this guy has been and how he could not have any idea about Max after his terrific career.

they don't do that
"The first tiebreaker is best record in head-to-head matchups between the tied teams. With each of the three at 1-1 against each other, the next determinate is record within the division. With a win over UW and an OSU victory over Oregon, WSU would take the title with a 4-1 in-division mark, besting OSU’s 3-2. The Beavers already have two in-division losses, to WSU and Cal. ESPN incorrectly noted tonight that OSU would take the crown with a win over Oregon; that only holds true if the Cougars don’t win the Apple Cup."

He got Utes plus 4.5
and I don’t follow betting lines much at all, I was on the road and really paying attention less attention than usual…so it was me saying I thought Utah would ‘upset’ the #3 Ducks…not any "experts". Guesswork and instinct based on seeing them play a lot this season.
Wish I had tossed a few buck on it though…

I was in Atlantic City
last weekend, and spent the frustrating night watching the Ducks run it right up the middle the entire night. Alone in my hotel I kept talking to the TV, make them throw it…their QB isn’t a great passer. Maddening…the next day I was in a casino having lunch and an associate asked me for a random sports book long shot…I suggested he bet Utah over the Ducks because I felt Whittingham would close off the run and force the throw…and the Utes DL is quite large. He bet on Utah…I neglected to do so…. Grrrrr…he took Utah and the 4.5… he phoned me today to RUB IT IN.
Go Cougs, beat the dawgs, go Beavs, beat the ducks…
