Washington State hosts Idaho on Wednesday night at Friel Court as the two schools continue the sixth-oldest continuous rivalry in college basketball. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on Pac-12 Washington.
The Cougs are coming off a 66-38 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff that snapped a three-game losing streak. WSU is now 3-3 on the year. Washington State has struggled taking care of the ball and getting to the free throw line. The latter was a staple of the offense a year ago, and the Cougars will need to start drawing more fouls if they are to have sustainable success.
Idaho is 1-3 on the year. They lost to a good New Mexico team last time out, and were within one possession in the second half before the Lobos pulled away for the 73-58 win. Stephen Madison is the man to watch on the Vandals. He creates for his teammates, gets to the line, and avoids turnovers.
